In Him

The New You!

Last week we looked at our new identity in Christ. Today I am going to share more scriptures to encourage you.

Colossians 2:10

“And you are complete in Him.”

Our completeness is not dependent on our actions. We are complete because we believe in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus. God sees us as complete. See yourself as He does. Let go of past failures.

Galatians 2:16

Yet we know that a man is justified or reckoned righteous and in right standing with God not by works of the Law, but (only) through faith and reliance and trust in Jesus.

Do you know that you are in right standing with God? We don’t have to do anything to accomplish this, only have faith and trust in Jesus. Ask Him to be your Savior and Lord today. Let go of past mistakes.

Colossians 1:14

In Whom we have our redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our sins.

In Jesus, we have our sins forgiven. People may not forgive you, but you have to forgive them. Rejoice, you have been forgiven. Jesus tells us we have to forgive others because He has forgiven us. Let go of past hurts.

Colossians 1:16

For it was in Him that all things were created, in heaven and on earth, things seen and things unseen, whether thrones, dominions, rulers, or authorities; all things were created and exist through Him and in and for Him.

Wow, think of it……everything was created and exists by Him. We exist because of His great love for us. We were created for His pleasure and fellowship. He has promised to never leave you. You are never alone. Others may reject you, He will never. Let go of rejection and loneliness.

I pray these truths from the Bible will go deep in your spirit. Be encouraged….you are complete in Him, you are in right standing in Him, your sins have been forgiven by Him, and He created you and He holds all things together. You are loved more than you can comprehend.

I pray God’s blessings over you in Jesus name.

Our New Identity!

2 Corinthians 5:17.

Therefore if any person is in Christ he is a new creation; the old (previous moral and spiritual condition) has passed away. Behold the fresh and new has come!

Our change of identity comes when we believe and trust Jesus to be our Lord and Savior.

HAVE YOU ?

Taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusts in Him.

In Him!

What does this mean……. In Him?

You are complete in Him. ( Col. 2:10 )

In Him we become the righteousness of God. ( 2 Corinthians 5:21 )

There is no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. ( Romans 8:1)

For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. ( Romans 8:2 )

Nothing can separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. ( Romans 8: 39 )

Wow, Wow and Wow!!!!!

I pray that you got it.

Can you see who you are now? You have a new identity. You should be jumping up and down!!

Praise God. Embrace your new identity. Learn how you are to walk in it. Retrain your thinking so that your thinking lines up with the new you. The Bible is your manual for the new you. Study it.

Welcome to the ‘new you’ on our Freedom Journey . I will be praying for you.

Bless you in the name of our Lord Jesus. I pray the Spirit of God brings you revelation and understanding of this teaching.

Exchange of Identity.

Have you ever wanted to change who you are? Wipe the slate clean. We all have a past that we may not be proud of.

We’ll you can!

Yes! We can exchange our identity.

2 Corinthians 5:17 “ Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things have become new.”

When we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior we become entirely new creatures. We’ve gained a brand new identity.

We have to trust what Jesus did for us in His death and resurrection. He paid the price for us. He took our sin on Himself so we would be cleansed and holy before God.

1 Corinthians 6:19. “And the life I now life in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

We were created in God’s image. God gave us freewill, so we can look for our identity anywhere we want. As a believer in Jesus, we are called to find our identity in Him.

When we chose Jesus, our identity changes. We are now everything He says we are. Our old self is gone positionally, but we have to change our actions and attitudes. Then we will experience our new identity in Him.

This is when freedom comes to our lives.

Receive Jesus today as your Lord and Savior. Start your new life and identity in Him.

Bless you on your freedom journey. We will study who you are in Jesus in the next teaching.

Blessings. Pastor Barbara. 23/23

Jesus said, ” Follow Me”.

Matthew 8:22.

But Jesus said unto him, “Follow Me”.

John 14:6

I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me“.

Jesus is asking us to follow Him.

Some may say, why should we? God gave us freewill, we are free to make our own decisions. Yes, but do you know where your decision will take you. Following Jesus will give you “eternal life” after our life on earth is done.

Not following Jesus gives you a dreadful future when your life on earth is done. Remember…..we are body, soul and spirit. When are body dies (our earth suit) our soul and spirit are still alive. They never die. They have to go somewhere.

Matthew 8: 12

But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

These people have not believed and trusted Jesus to be their Savior. They are ‘children of this kingdom on earth’. When we believe in Jesus to be our Savior and Lord, we are now ‘children of the Kingdom of Heaven’.

DECISION TIME

So, now it’s your time to decide where you’re going to spend eternity . Jesus loves you so much. He gave up His life on earth, to provide a way for sinful mankind to have eternal life in Heaven.

Praying now for you….. Believe and receive Jesus as your Savior and Lord. Your name will be written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.

God bless you. Pastor Barbara. b.b. 22/23 bongobarbie

The Spirit of Jesus is Always There.

You are never alone!

Hebrews 13:5 b

God has said, Never will I leave you, never will I forsake you.

Matthew 28: 20 b

And surely I am with you always, to the very end.

The Bible gives us very comforting words. Many of us have felt very alone.  We might still feel that way. But the reality is that we are never alone. You have to believe this by faith.

John 14: 15-18

If you love Me, keep My commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever, the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.

Jesus (God, the Son) is talking to us here. He is giving us some instruction …. He is saying ‘if you love Me, keep My instructions’. And then He says, He’ll pray to His Father (this is God, the Father) to give us a Helper. This Helper is God, the Holy Spirit. We see ‘the Trinity’ here. The Trinity is three God’s, one in unity.

When Jesus returned to Heaven after He was crucified, He promised us a Helper, the Holy Spirit. He would come to dwell within those who had believed and received Jesus. The Holy Spirit is our Helper, our teacher, our comforter, and our intercessor.

We are never alone!

The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Jesus.

He is always with believers. You are never alone or forgotten. He knows what is happening in your life. He is there to give you wisdom and comfort. Talk to Him. He’s always listening. He’ll speak to you. Listen for His voice.

My prayer for you dear friends………. God will keep you in perfect and constant peace. Keep your mind steadfast on Him. Trust and take refuge in Him. In Jesus name. Amen

To all those who are or were orphans; this is for you…..Dear ones you are loved and wanted. You are not a mistake. God loves you and He has a plan for you. You are His idea. He formed you in your mother’s womb. God tells you that He is your Father. You are blessed by Him. Walk out your future in His name.

Bless you. Barbara/ b.b. 21/23

Jesus Invites Us to Come to Him.

Matthew 11: 28-30

Come to Me, all you who labor and I will give you  rest.

Take my yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.

Jesus is calling you to come to Him. He gently says, “Come, you can trust Me. I’ll give you rest for your soul. Come, start to learn about Me. As you learn about Me you will believe in Me and trust ME. Our relationship will become intimate. I know you intimately, start to know me intimately. Most, just know about Me.

To be yoked to Jesus is to submit ourselves to Him every day in every way. This frees us from the yoke of spiritual death ( spiritual separation from God). As we trust Jesus we become yoked or joined to Him. We are liberated from spiritual death to eternal life. This life is a life of freedom, peace and joy.

We might ask, how can we trust Jesus?

Trust is built as we learn about Him. On our Freedom Journey we will learn about Jesus. You will start to have a different relationship with Him, as you get to know Him intimately.

When the farmer puts the wooden yoke on the oxen, he pairs the strong oxen with a weaker oxen. The strong one leads and carries the heavy load.

This is what being yoked to Jesus is like. He will lead you and lift your burdens. Your part is letting Him have your burdens. You do this by releasing the burden you are carrying, in prayer.

Pray……I will not be anxious for anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving , let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Friends, many of you are burdened by situations you are facing . Give them to the Lord and trust Him for provision. He is the Lord who hears and sees our situations. He will not leave you helpless. Taste and see that the Lord is good.

The Lord bless you and keep you, the Lord make His face shine on you and be gracious to you, the Lord turn His face toward you and give you peace.

Until next time. Barbara/ bongobarbie. 20/23. b.b.

Jesus Is Our Burden Lifter

Jesus calls us to come to Him.

In Matthew 11:28

Come to Me, all who are weary and heavily burdened, and I will give you rest.

Jesus is inviting us to come to Him. How can we do this? He tells us He will give us something.

We come to Jesus by trust. Believing what He says, will cause us to trust. As we trust our faith will grow.

What do we get in return?

Jesus promises to give you rest. This is not speaking of sleep, but you will sleep more peacefully.  This peace is in your soul.

Coming to Jesus is believing that He died for your sin. Confess you are a sinner and ask Him to forgive you and be your Savior. He will !!!! Just like that. You will be refreshed in your soul, a peace will wash over you. This is the rest He promises. Burdens you are carrying will start to lift as you give them to Him.

My prayer for you is ” Be anxious for nothing, but in everything  by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God, and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus “.

Dear friends give your burdens to Jesus. He’s there waiting . Make Him your Lord and Savior if you haven’t.

As we are connecting on messenger, many of you are burdened down. We are praying for you at the ministry.  But you have a part to play. Receive Jesus, if you haven’t,  pray and give your burdens to Jesus in prayer.  He is listening.

May the Lord bless you and give you peace today. He truly is the lfiter of the weights that pull us down.

Until next time. bongobarbie/Barbara 19/23

Jesus really knows you!

He knows our thoughts and motives. No one else has this understanding of us.

Psalm 139 tells us that God really

knows us like no one else can.

I have used the word God instead of Jesus because in the original language in the Bible , Elohim is the word for God. This is a plural noun, meaning more than one. What does this mean……God is more than one. God the Father, God the Son (Jesus), and God the Holy Spirit. This is the Trinity, three but one in unity.

So it’s not just Jesus who knows us intimately but the Father and the Holy Spirit.

Psalm 139: 1-24. Lord, you have searched me thoroughly and have known me. You know when I sit down and when I rise up. You understand my thought from afar. You scrutinize my path and my lying down. And You are intimately acquainted with all my ways.

We see clearly from scripture that God really knows us . This can be comforting or threatening to us depending on our relationship with God.

If we know Jesus this news is comforting to us. If we don’t know Jesus, you can.

Believe that you are a sinner and need your sins to be cleansed . CONFESS!

Believe that Jesus’s shed blood has cleansed you and your sins are forgiven. RECEIVE!

Ask Him to be your Savior and Lord. ASK!

Turn from your sinful ways. REPENT!

Begin to learn about God and follow His ways. LEARN!

Your life and destiny will be transformed as you study the Bible. Join a church that teaches Jesus. Fellowship with other Christians.

Today is a good day to make this decision. Join many others on our Freedom Journey. Let me know so we can be praying for you.

Blessings in the name of Jesus.

Does Jesus know me?

Have you ever wondered,  does Jesus know me; what I’m going through, my hopes, my needs and my dreams.

YES! YES! YES! YES!

Jesus is intimately acquainted with you. There is no place you can go that He doesn’t see you. He formed you in your mother’s womb. His thoughts for you are more than the grains of sand in all the beaches of earth.

He is with you always. He promised us to never leave us or forsake us.

You have a part to play………You have to believe and receive Jesus as your Savior.

I pray if you don’t know about Jesus you will today!

Bless you in the name of the Lord.
